Special Education Preschool in Queens Hiring for Education Director Job at Maspeth, NY Full Time

Special Education Preschool/Daycare is seeking an Education Director to collaborate with families to support and share the educational needs of their children. Inspire each child’s potential through our innovative curriculum, inclusive environment, and strong family partnerships with the support of a corporate team dedicated to helping you manage the daily operations of the center.

Education and Related Work Experience

• Master’s Degree required
• Previous experience as an Ed Director (preferred)
• NYS teaching certification in Birth-Grade 2./Special Education and General Education Birth to 2
• SBL/SDL Certification
• UPK experience
• A combination of infant toddler, and preschool supervision required

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills, and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff
• Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively
• Capacity to understand and manage center duties
• Computer literacy
• Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences
• Ability to formulate and carry out effective work plans
• Ability to facilitate the coordination of multiple tasks and manage a variety of projects simultaneously
• Ability to build effective working partnerships
