The Opportunity

Fresh Meats is seeking an exceptional Finance Lead to join our rapidly growing business based on the Sunshine Coast. This is a role for a hands-on finance leader who is seeking the opportunity to be a driving force in the development of process and controls and to be a strategic partner in the long-term growth and success of this business.

Reporting to the business owner, you will take pride in working on a one-to-one basis with colleagues from all areas of the business. Developing strong working relationships and providing both tactical operational as well as strategic leadership to both direct and indirect reports.

Responsibilities including:

• Active daily involvement at warehouse, manufacturing and retail locations allowing for real time problem solving, risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
• Delivery of accurate gross margin reporting, profit & loss reporting by department, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
• Review of current accounting control processes across multiple locations and large SKU count, ensuring appropriate systems and process are in place as the business continues to expand.
• Leadership and mentoring to direct and indirect reports, driving a culture of strong controls, innovation, business growth and exceptional customer service
• Partnering with the business owner to identify innovative solutions and opportunities that will further enhance financial performance.

About You

This is a fast paced environment where the ability to cope with ongoing change is critical to success. You will be CA/CPA qualified and possess strong commercial acumen gained through substantial commercial experience in the FMCG/Manufacturing industry. In addition, you will also offer:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate, coaching others to higher levels of performance.
• Proven track record in process control review and effective implementation of process improvements.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing enhancements to technology platforms and tools.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• The drive and determination to work collaboratively to deliver outcomes and to grow professionally with this business.

Salary: commensurate with experience
