Oliphant Golf Management Hiring for Accounting Controller Job at Plover, WI Full Time

Oliphant Golf Management (OGM) is looking for an Accounting Manager to process daily bookkeeping functions, month end financial statements, payroll, check runs and ad hoc reporting. Your work will be utilized by leadership for the decision-making process for several companies. This position will work both onsite and remotely.

Qualified candidates will be advanced on analyzing data, math, spreadsheets and be able to communicate effectively with senior management, various departments and clients. We also require that you be detail oriented, possess Excel knowledge, and find yourself willing to learn accounting software. This position will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and budgets at multiple properties. Proven leadership skills are a must. Strong business acumen is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process

• Process payroll, AP, AR and other general accounting duties

• Creation of bulk mailings including member renewal notices, annual meeting packets, and other member correspondence

• Assist with customer questions, billing and collections

• Prepare monthly financial statements

• Make month end entries and reconciliation of internal accounts

• Reconcile bank statements and credit card deposits

• Consolidate and analyze financial statements and review results with General Managers

• Effectively manage schedules to meet deadlines

• Assist with creating budgets and forecasts

• Create and manage daily ad hoc reporting

• Support onsite office staff and General Managers

Requirements

• 3-5 years of accounting work experience

• 1-3 Year management experience preferred

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited university

• Excellent communication skills

• Self-starter

• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations, practices, and GAAP

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel

• Keen eye for detail

• Experience with QuickBooks a plus

• Must have organizational skills
