Applications are invited for Medical Education Fellow positions at Brunel Medical School. There are vacancies for those able to start immediately and those able to start in August 2022.
The post holders will be individuals from any clinical discipline who are fully registered medical practitioners and who have a keen interest in medical education. You should normally have completed Foundation Year 2 training and within 3 to 4 years of graduation. The post is for a period of one year, either as an out-of-programme experience or stand-alone experience.
Brunel Medical School is currently preparing for its first intake of students in September 2022. The MBBS programme will have a number of distinctive features, including team-based learning, programmatic assessment, a strong focus on person-centred care, and early exposure to patients in community settings. A range of digital technologies will be used to enhance learning. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion will be embedded across all aspects of the student experience.
The post holders will work collaboratively to contribute to various aspects of the programme, which may include curriculum development, anatomy teaching using human specimens and radiological images, assessment and student selection, depending on the applicant’s particular areas of interest. Those starting in August 2022 will also contribute to teaching and supporting the first cohort of Brunel medical students.
These Medical Education Fellow positions represent an excellent opportunity to be part of the team developing and delivering an innovative MBBS programme in London. The experience gained will complement any medical education portfolio.
Further information may be obtained from Dr. Dilshani Hunukumbure via Lillian DeSouza at [email protected].
Closing date for applications: Thursday 30 June 2022
Interviews will be held on the 11th and 12th July
