Who are we looking for?

CEG Digital is looking to hire an Online Dissertation Supervisor to work in partnership with the University of Portsmouth.

The Partnership

CEG Digital has partnered with the University of Portsmouth to deliver a portfolio of flexible learning courses which equip students with valuable skills and knowledge, without interrupting income and career progression. All courses are developed and lead by university academics.

The Course

Our MSc in Data Analytics offers students critical thinking and analysis skills within artificial intelligence, machine learning and other areas relevant to data analytics. The programme is designed to prepare students for the real-world challenges of working with data, translating theory into practice with invaluable hands-on experience. The MSc culminates into a final project that demonstrates the knowledge gained over the previous modules. Students have the option to undertake an Engineering Project to focus on implementing a web app or machine learning model or a Study Project that involves using big data in sector of their choice.

The Role

The Online Dissertation Supervisor will be allocated a pool of students undertaking their dissertation and will provide academic guidance and feedback over the six-month period to ensure a seamless execution of the student’s ideas and ultimate completion of the project.

Support will be provided by the supervisor through online meetings and email guidance in accordance with the university’s policies and practices.

The supervisor will also mark the dissertation and ensure grades and feedback are communicated to the relevant parties. The second marking of other students’ dissertations is a requirement of the role. Payment is made per student supervised.
