All-State Belting LLC Hiring for Senior Accountant Job at West Des Moines, IA Full Time

All-State Belting, which provides quality conveyor belting and accessories to companies throughout North America, is looking to add an Senior Staff Accountant to our Accounting department. This position shares responsibility for the timeliness and accuracy of the inventory, cost and general ledger accounting processes. This is a key role and must have strong analytic and problem solving skills, positive mindset, and a collaborative approach.
Essential Functions of our Senior Staff Account:

• Assist in monthly closing process and preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Provide secondary support for credit approval and risk management practices.
• Serve as a backup for processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
• Review daily accounts receivable and accounts payable postings to ensure accuracy.
• Process weekly check and ACH vendor payments.
• Arrange and track outgoing wire payments for foreign inventory purchasing.
• Serve as the administrator for company purchasing card program and conduct monthly review of purchasing card transactions.
• Assist in managing company tax and compliance processes including property tax, entity level taxes and state registrations.
• Support external tax professionals in preparing annual property tax and entity level tax returns.
• Provide training and guidance for company best practices to other internal users across all locations and assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in managing and executing annual physical inventory process across all company locations.
• Assist with annual external financial statement audit and internal audits as needed.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to senior management upon request.
• Help with various corporate expansion projects including organic growth and business acquisitions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience needed:

• At least 3 years of Accounting experience required
• Previous experience in distribution and light manufacturing industry preferred+
• CPA strongly preferred
• Public accounting experience a plus
• Experience working with IBM AS400 and NetSuite software packages a plus
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
• Strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Ability to work outside of normal office hours as needed to meet deadlines
• Ability to travel as needed for business related tasks (5%)

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year and an annual performance bonus of 5% of salary
