Age UK South Kent Coast is an independent charity, linked to Age UK via a Brand Partnership Agreement. We are passionate about providing services for older people and supporting both them and their families and carers.

The role:
As Finance Assistant, you will support in the day-to-day running of the finance function. Working alongside the Finance Officer, you will ensure that the charity remains compliant with all statutory financial regulations. This will include helping our clients by telephone or face to face, helping with financial queries, taking card payments, chasing outstanding payments etc.
You will also undertake payments to our suppliers and all associated administration as well as liaising with other staff members regarding financial aspects of the charity.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a lasting difference, and is able to use their initiative, has the ability to multitask and manage a range of projects and tasks simultaneously.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a recognised finance qualification (or proven equivalent professional experience), and experience of working with accountancy software. Excellent computer skills are a must, as is familiarity of petty cash management.
The ability to travel between Deal and Folkestone is essential, and you must have an understanding of accounting principles. Age UK South Kent Coast is a busy charity, so the ability to prioritise is essential.

Hours: Part Time, 25 hours per week (this will be worked flexibly over 5 days)

Salary: Dependant on experience
