Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The HR Director, EMEA, leads the development and implementation of people strategies across the EMEA region. Logistically, the role is flexible within EMEA, but the preferences are UK, Italy, or Turkey, where our main Apparel locations sit.
You will provide HR business partnership to the regional GM and Operations leader in EMEA and provide senior HR partnership for our Embelex business. You will manage the HR organization in the EMEA region, supporting and leading a team of HR business partners in EMEA to build organizational capability and create a deep talent pipeline. The HR Director provides guidance and consultative support to business leaders and promotes an empowered and engaged workforce including building strategies for the local team to deliver training; ensuring compliance; interpreting policies and procedures; proactive coaching and counseling of managers and employees, and coaching for performance improvement. In addition, you will act as a change leader for developing and implementing new HR initiatives that support the talent needs of the business.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Defines, recommends and implements employee communication strategies, plans, policies, and guidelines in accordance with the company’s business objectives, in order to sustain the company’s culture and values
Facilitate future-focused HR initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda of the business
Help the VP/GM, EMEA & Americas, and EMEA Ops Director provide employees with development opportunities and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards;
Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives;
Improves HR effectiveness and customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement activities
Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
Support the leadership in the business and the employees in making sure performance management is properly administered. Provide guidance and coaching to employees and managers in the performance management process.
Plan, manage and lead organizational change processes to improve effectiveness.
Provide leadership to regional human resources initiatives.
Facilitates Talent Review and Succession Planning Process with leadership teams
Facilitates training on employee development, coaching, and other management and leadership topics.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource policies
Promote effective communications and employee relations.
Provide coaching and development to assist the HR team in EMEA in reaching their individual and business goals.
Act as a team role model and change agent.
Coordinate team efforts, and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
Encourage the HR team to adopt a data-driven approach
Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, major in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred;
With 8 years of work experience in HR-related functions, with experience in a management role
Experience in providing HR support in a matrix organization
Knowledge of employee relations
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management;
People-oriented and good internal customer-focused mindset;
Good command of oral and written English;
Able to influence and resolve controversial, high-impact human resources issues;
Willingness to take on what needs to be done, innovative problem-solver;
Strong project management skills;
Strict confidentiality and integrity;
Demonstrated experience in coordinating, planning, and deploying HR programs and initiatives;
Practical knowledge of standard computer software and an interest in technology and data
