Pinnacle Partners is conducting a search for a VP of Accounting for a well-established client in Columbus, IN. Very healthy organization with a well-established team that continues to grow.

It will report to the CFO, and will manage all aspects of the daily and monthly accounting including the close, financial reporting, tax oversight, internal controls and strategic initiatives. This is a highly visible and important role within the company, and the salary is commensurate with the duties involved.

This individual will have a few direct reports who can handle the day-to-day, so supervisory experience is important. There is the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days a week and great work/life balance overall.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Review consolidation of subsidiary ledgers for wholly owned Service Organization.
• Review monthly financial statements presented to the board.
• Prepare and submit tax reporting including property tax, personal property tax, financial institution tax, and any tax reporting associated with the subsidiary Foundation.
• Maintain general ledger access and general ledger accounts set-up in general ledger system and banking core.
• Prepare budgeting for capitalized assets, prepaids, and team member compensation and incentives.
• Provide guidance on accounting related questions and assistance for front-line management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA required
• 5+ years of related experience, financial services or non-profit industries preferred

Terms:
This position is a direct hire with a salary up to $110K (+ bonus) based on experience. They offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K match, etc.
