Job Description

• SUMMARY

As part of the Performance and Effectiveness team, the Program Manager could align to one or more Digital Portfolios with responsibility for initiating, planning, monitoring & controlling, and closing the largest and complex global programs undertaken by the Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) organization. The initiatives can span across cost savings to revenue generating programs aligning to business transformation strategy. Product Portfolio/Program costs are typically $10-20 million, involving 100-200 business and DTS team members.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop best practices, scalable mechanisms and repeatable processes on all aspects of the program: preparation, blueprinting, design and build/deploy phases
• Program tracking and common project management principles (agile development and project management methods, e.g. SCRUM); mapping complex combinations of resources against objectives, track dependencies and risk, assess impact of change across interdependent workstreams and projects
• Responsible for health of the Program and strategic alignment with Business and DTS stakeholders
• Simplify and optimize IT internal processes by understanding the end-to-end process from an end user point of view. Research, design , and develop processes to optimize productivity and workflow
• Program manage IT cost savings initiatives towards the YoY productivity goal
• Lead and improve program operational & reporting procedures (activities, goals, funding, budgeting, etc.)
• Drive workshops, design sessions and other program management activities to drive adoption with stakeholders
• Ensures realistic estimates of costs, schedule, scope and resources are agreed and carries out the monitoring of program, taking corrective action as necessary
• Aggregates project/workstream status into program-level risks, assumptions and interdependencies
• Reports on overall delivery status to program leadership and various stakeholders
• Manages expectations of program stakeholders, including Business and Technology sponsors
• Ensures that a change control procedure is in place, and is used to assess the effect of changes to the projects on costs, schedule, scope and resources
• Ensure appropriate stage-gate methodology steps are taken in the projects, and remain compliant with audit and security requirements as applicable
• Assure proper quality standards are maintained during execution and delivery of capabilities
• Actively contributes to, and is recognized as a role-model within the project manager community both internal and external to K-C. This includes hiring, onboarding, training and coaching project managers and/or scrum masters and continuously improve delivery

Required Qualifications and Experiences

• BS level degree – OR- R elated professional experience required
• 7+ years experience leading complex cross-organizational programs and land them with on time and with high quality
• Technology Breadth: Able to demonstrate knowledge in a range of technologies from cloud migration, integration, security/access, and data analytics
• Financial report analysis skills and ability to understand financial performance metrics
• Must be able to facilitate the analysis of business processes, and articulate potential changes to business processes in a lucid manner, both orally and in writing
• Must be Able to solve organizational problems, articulate views/roadmaps for future development, and understand the interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences. Strong written skills, able to create complex narratives with a high level of quality
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (or equivalent) is strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones
