Location: Home based or a local Veolia office with some UK travel

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum plus Bonus and Car / Car Allowance

Hours: 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm

This position is suited to an individual that is looking to develop their skills within the industrial energy sector and is committed to delivering outstanding service to internal and external customers. Working in the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the creation of design packages, specifications and scopes of work to enable the successful installation of heat pumps, combined heat and power units, steam boiler plant, district heat networks and energy centres as a whole.

What will you be doing?

• Translate and develop conceptual designs into turnkey projects to meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders.
• Produce specifications, calculations and undertake component selection.
• Provide both consultative design support and converting the final design into installation project work.
• Produce project specific installation specifications in order to obtain competitive installation quotations from local M&E contractors. This may include production of appropriate 2D and/or 3D drawings (Layouts, General Arrangements, and piping drawings).
• Create project documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
• Support and assist in the sales stage of a project

What are we looking for?

• A qualified engineer in the mechanical field with a good awareness of civil and electrical engineering
• Experience of the energy industry particularly energy, power and utilities (steam raising, CHP, compressed air, chilled water, district energy network building services and HV & LV electrical)
• AutoCAD 2D and 3D competency.
• Full valid driving licence.
