D & J Manufacturing Hiring for AutoCAD Technologist/Drafter at Etobicoke, ON Full Time

We are seeking a AutoCAD Technologist/Drafter. We specialize in Custom High End Residential & Architectural Millwork.

Job Requirement:

• Organized and self-motivated, decisive, and responsible
• Proficient in reading and examine and interpret architectural intent from commercial construction blueprints, specifications, and supplemental documentation.
• Ability to produce detailed shop drawings of millwork using AutoCAD
• Able to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a multitude of tasks, prioritize tasks, work closely with Senior Designer / Project Manager, and ability to meet deadlines
• Interprets and carries out creative ideas proposed by Senior Designer / Project Manager and/or Clients and provide own ideas during design stages.
• Convert Architectural Millwork Elevations into Shop Drawings & Layouts
• Ability to generate full sets of millwork drawings an asset
• Positive attitude, dependable and team player
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Experience / Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture is preferred
• Experience in Kitchen Cabinetry and Millwork is an asset
• High level of experience interpreting commercial construction blueprints
• Working knowledge of relevant engineering design standards
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, Excel, Words
• Have construction site experience. Perform site measurements
• Must be able to speak, write and read English fluently.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
