Smart Study Tuition Hiring for Online GCSE Science Tutor Job at London, England Full Time

Smart Study Tuition is looking for self-motivated, organised and passionate tutors with enthusiasm for their subject to deliver academically enriching online tuition for students. We help students in primary schools apply to Grammar and Private schools by prepping them for the 11plus entrance exams. We also prep pupils sitting other exams including KS2 SATS and GCSEs.

We are looking for professional tutors and qualified UK teachers for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will be working with students who are studying in their GCSE or A-Level years but will have the opportunity to tutor students of all ages from KS3, GCSE and A-Level.

Responsibilities

• reliable and consistent at tutoring quality.
• organise and plan lessons
• creating content for lessons including class exercises, homework, revision notes.
• online tutoring 1:1 and groups up to 7 pupils between ages of 11-15
• mark progress tests (every term)

• communicate orally and written
• write up student reports regularly
• Manage learner records and track progress throughout their course.
• explaining complex ideas to pupils and set homework weekly
• thorough knowledge of KS3 and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics curriculum
• · A current Enhanced DBS registered on the DBS Update Service or willing to apply for a new one.

Education/Work experience

• GCSE Maths, English and Science A/A* or 7-9
• Science A-level A*-A
• Preferred degree in specialised area
• Qualified teacher or equivalent desirable
• Previous experience in educational setting desirable
• Previous experience working with children is desirable
• Previous experience tutoring for 1 year (subject maths)
• knowledge and experience with 11plus desireble
