The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is a world class specialist hospital in eye and ear care that provides services across Victoria. As Australia’s only specialist eye, ear, nose and throat hospital, the Eye and Ear has been providing care for the senses for 150 years.The Eye and Ear has almost 60 different outpatient clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of vision and hearing loss and provides a 24 hour emergency eye and ear, nose, and throat service.Every year the Eye and Ear cares for over 220,000 patients, with over 160,000 outpatients nearly 44,000 emergency patients and over 17,000 inpatients.The hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment to create a modern internal structure, improve access for patients and visitors and staff.

About the Role

As part of the Financial Management & Analysis team, this role performs a key function in delivering the financial management service delivery model, focused on partnering with operational managers to ensure sound financial management, accurate budgeting & forecasting, supported decision making and to facilitate the achievement of the hospital’s strategic outcomes.

This position will predominantly support Clinical and Medical Services, Executive Directors, Senior Managers and Cost Centre Managers in the management of their business, providing detailed and best practice financial accounting and management accounting support, and detailed analytical business modelling support.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, a working with children check (if applicable) and evidence of vaccination status All staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (3 doses) and for clinical staff, patient facing staff and staff working in clinical areas it is a mandatory requirement to provide evidence of a current influenza vaccination.
