RSA Hiring for Finance Business Partner Job at London, England Full Time

Working with the Delegated MD & Leadership Team to deliver commercially focused and actionable financial insights that enable senior decision makers to respond to commercial opportunities, allocate resource to strategic priorities and manage commercial and financial risk. Day to day this will involve investment and deal appraisal, challenging financial results and identifying weaknesses and opportunities. You will be expected to represent finance across various boards and stakeholder groups both internally and externally. Supporting the Delegated MD with execution of the strategy and achieving business outperformance.

Role Requirements

• Face off to Delegated MD and the wider CL leadership teams

• Ownership with Business for delivery of Financial targets

• Drive and challenge business performance through use of FPP produced analysis and presentation of financial information to senior decision makers

• Play an influential role on steering groups supporting business delivery and strategic alignment

• Proactively highlight risks and opportunities to financial performance and develop actions to mitigate, correct or exploit as appropriate with senior decision makers

• Review and challenge performance metrics (e.g. KPIs) aligned to business strategy

• Accountable for supplying the business with relevant commercial and financial insight to drive value

• Discuss forward looking and actionable financial insights that sustain market share and support growth

• Proactively identify opportunities (from either existing or new analysis) for improved performance and develop potential solutions with senior decision makers to drive financial performance, commissioning FPP for production as appropriate

• Leverage the FPP to produce high quality analysis and insight to drive performance, ensuring reports are fit for purpose and relevant

• Support for Business Strategy, Planning and Forecasting

• Challenge strategic plan for business area (ambition, viability, alignment to financial plan), modelling planning scenarios to support as appropriate

• Provide commercially focused review of strategic plan that helps business leaders set appropriate performance targets, backed up by action plans

• Ensure alignment of top down targets to operational plans

• Accountable for challenging the business to deliver business case benefits, escalating where business case is not delivering

Responsibilities

• Actively influence idea generation with respect to business cases, leveraging specialist team for production

• Work with the business to ensure benefits are delivered and maximised, utilising specialist team for benefits tracking

• Work with business to understand lessons learnt and take corrective actions as necessary

• Accountable with the business for sound commercial and financial decision making

• Monitor and challenge business on control effectiveness. Ensure that financials are created or validated by appropriate areas of finance
