We currently have an opportunity for a Mac Desktop Engineer within our fun, close-knit Corporate IT team. This person will help provide outstanding service to Tyro employees and support the successful operations of the Corporate IT department.
What you’ll be doing
- On-boarding and Off-boarding staff accounts and devices
- Prioritising, triaging, and responding to daily requests in a timely and efficient manner. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware and software with little supervision.
- Purchasing of devices from suppliers
- Keeping in touch with the latest industry trends in regards Modern Device Management and apply relevant learnings
- Creating and maintaining documentation
- Working within the Corporate IT team dealing directly with end-users and business stakeholders, including C-Level Executives & Directors (face-to-face) to support new processes and technologies services that will be coming online
- Providing remote support to a variety of customer environments
- Managing and overseeing the ticket process to ensure appropriate resolution and closure of all tickets
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience and strong proven working knowledge of Mac Operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, MS Office, Windows desktop products, SCCM and associated products.
- Proficient knowledge of macOS and iOS – level 2 and 3 support
- JAMF Pro experience – JAMF connect is a bonus (certification preferred)
- Experience with creating and maintaining application packages within JAMF
- Entry to mid-level scripting experience in on one or more languages: Shell/Python
- Experience creating and maintaining mac security and compliance profiles
- Account management and support experience (Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack)
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Highly analytic and detail oriented with ability to communicate technical language to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to quickly learn a broad array of desktop technologies and apply knowledge to real-world problems.
- Ability to effectively implement standards, processes, procedures, reviews, reporting and escalations.
- Ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate with clients at all levels of seniority.
- Microsoft Endpoint knowledge (Intune)
- Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills for handling multiple tasks and responsibilities at once
- Goal-driven and determined to meet business needs
- Excellent work ethic and ample experience working in the field
- Ensures compliance with established company and regulatory guidelines and procedures to provide high quality service and outstanding customer care.
