This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Emerging Talent to own the strategy for Early Careers/ new careers for Customer Services Group (CSG) at Sky and the teams delivering incredible programmes for young people starting out in their careers or for people looking to diversify and grow a new career into CSG. You’ll collaborate closely with our central Early Careers team to be the voice of CSG to help advise how we attract, hire, develop and support over 300 graduates and apprentices every year as they start their careers in CSG. Our team work in agile methodologies to improve every stage of the experience, whether that’s designing new programmes, new partnerships and approaches or looking at how we can build a stronger sense of community.
What you’ll do:
- You’ll be joining at an exciting time, where there is a real opportunity to design our future proposition, programmes and partners. We want to collaborate alongside defining programmes for people starting out in customer service group with apprenticeship and other entries into career opportunities (up to 300 per year) across Customer Services Group, Retail and Home Service.
- You’ll work with our Central Early Careers team to explore new opportunities to strengthen our commitment to diversity and inclusion. We strive to continue offering the highest quality experiences and programmes for our cohorts, that also deliver for the business. This role will be crucial in ensuring we are relentless in seeking ways to improve experiences for our colleagues through the emerging talent route.
- You’ll lead the Apprentice Manager and engage across the business with our stakeholders at all levels.
- You’ll be the voice of Emerging Talent in CSG Sky, leading the thinking and holding true to our ambitions.
- You’ll have experience of various emerging talent routes to engage a diverse pool of talent from apprentices to returners.
- You’ll confidently collaborate with central Early careers team to advise the commercial and procurement processes with our suppliers and build great partnerships with them.
What you’ll bring:
- Significant experience, ideally at Head Of level, in Early Careers/ Emerging Talent programmes, creating new entry programmes, seeking ways to upskill/ cross skill and extensive levy understanding as well as experience of successfully partnerships with a diverse range of networks.
- Experience of partnerships and external networks which help us to best leverage our brand and opportunities for specific attraction i.e. gender, ethnicity diversification into Home Service, Retail, building key skills and future workforce.
- Experience of working with learning providers to design new trailblazing routes through levy utilisation.
- Demonstrable experience of building a pipeline of talent and progression through an emerging talent career propositions.
- Experience of working in a large, fast-paced organisation, running multiple programmes with a significant budget and leading teams, supporting them to deliver on plans.
- Motivation and passion for supporting young people and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring opportunities are truly accessible for all.
- Experience of working with business stakeholders at every level in an organisation and effectively dealing with challenge from them.
- A desire for continuous improvement and excitement about learning agile methodologies.
- An understanding of the balance in having young people’s experience at the centre of design, whilst considering impact on the business.
