Robert Walters Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Watford, East of England, England Full Time

Robert Walters are delighted to partner with a business based in Watford looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. The role has opened up following growth and the business has plans to have doubled their team by the end of this year. This is a permanent role and will be reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager. You will be expected to have an understanding of the AP ledger and contractor related invoices.

General duties for the Finance Assistant will involve:

• Assisting with the maintenance and responses of emails for all UK entities

• Scanning and filing invoices

• Entering invoices onto PO log

• Liaising with relevant teams with queries on invoices over phone and email

• Checking IR35 status on each invoice, making sure we have signed contracts in place

• Sending PAYE invoices to HR department

• Entering job numbers and cost code to each invoice and assign to the correct entity

• Sending out invoices for approval

• Setting up new accounts, ensuring T&Cs have been authorised by our legal team

To be considered successful, the ideal candidate must:

• Have a proven background within a similar role and understand basic accounting principles.

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Be self-dependent and take ownership of their role.

• Strong Excel skills.

This Finance Assistant role is based in Watford with a salary between £23,000 – £25,000 plus company specific benefits.
