What will you be doing?

We’re on the hunt for a Junior Software Engineer within our Amadeus – Clinical Portal team. You will join a cross-functional, agile development team who are working on a secure web-based solution that provides a unified interface to access and view a longitudinal patient health record, with data combined from integrated source systems.

As a Junior Software Engineer you will:

• be engaged with all aspects of development right from design, to delivery and support,
• have the ability to think creatively and be confident in making suggestions,
• develop solid and well-structured software will play a key role in the successful delivery of the solution, and
• get the opportunity to directly influence the experience clinicians and health practitioners have when using the product, impacting real world delivery of care to patients across the globe.

What will you bring to the role?

• Experience: You are a new developer with 1-3 years commercial experience and an understanding of software architecture and design. You will have used agile working practices to analyse, design, troubleshoot, and modify complex software products.
• Skills: You will be familiar with technologies and tools including:
  • Modern web software architecture frameworks, using RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Knowledge of React, HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Troubleshooting skills
• Nice to have skills:
  • Familiarity with AWS services
  • Containerisation (Docker)
  • Agile development
• Characteristics: You like to get stuck in, and have a positive, open-minded and energetic attitude. You have an eye for detail, enjoy understanding how things work under the hood, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative, professional work environment.
