This position will serve as the State Director of Program Development and Implementation for Adult and Career Education and is responsible for managing all elements of statewide educational program delivery of adult education including: curriculum frameworks, student assessment, program evaluation, state and federal policy, and partner engagement and integration. The Director will report directly to the Bureau Chief of Adult and Career Education and serve as a strategic partner in the planning and implementation of the future of Adult Education in the state of Florida. The Director must be both a hands-on worker and excellent manager.

Supervise and develop staff to implement the aims and strategic priorities of the Division of Career and Adult Education.
Provide strategic direction, oversight, and accountability for all adult education program development activities in partnership with state agencies, school districts, Florida College System Institutions, and other providers.
Work alongside the State Director of Professional Development to scale the Integrated Education and Training (IET) Instructional Delivery Model to expand the state’s talent pipeline through the attainment of credentials of value.
Oversee the development and continuous improvement of a catalog of bureau resources (Technical Assistance Papers, Implementation Guides, IET Guide, etc.) for use by local adult education providers (school districts and Florida College System institutions).
Provide direction and oversight for needed updates to all curriculum frameworks, instructional resources, data elements, and reporting systems.
Champion the use of the IET service approach by coordinating and delivering assistance and training with the help of the State Director of Professional Development.
Manage any IET specific deliverables in state leadership grants.
Assist local adult education providers to identify and implement opportunities with other local workforce entities (including industry providers) in order to provide opportunities for students aligned to local industry needs.
Assist local adult education providers to ensure the IET program supports the goals and strategic industries identified in the Regional and Local Workforce Development Plans.
Coordinate and oversee the work of regional program specialists including travel, scheduling, communications, and program evaluation.
Assist the bureau chief in the intentional and continuous integration of core partners into the overall adult education program as a part of the WIOA Unified Plan.
Participates in the evaluation of grant proposals and applications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
