About the role

The Accountant sits within the Service NSW Finance team supporting Senior Accountant and Finance Manager. The role is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of Treasury reporting & reconciliation, and Service NSW system & reporting tools. Using your Prime / SAP / TM1 / BW / Adaptive budgeting system knowledge, you will be working with the stakeholders whose exposure to the system and concepts will vary within the tight timelines.

About you

• The successful applicant possesses strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate complex financial matters effectively with stakeholders with limited financial knowledge, and the ability to influence and negotiate to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• You have demonstrated experience in financial and management reporting and a high level of knowledge of budgetary processes, practices and related financial accounting functions.
• You can balance competing priorities in line with agreed targets and expected level of quality to ensure business objectives are achieved in a fast-paced, high pressure, and complex regulatory environment.
• You have sound systems experience in Treasury Prime (highly essential), SAP, BW, TM1 or equivalents.
• You are (or in progress of advancing to) a CPA or CA qualified finance professional with a strong understanding of financial and management accounting services including financial analysis and reporting. Above all, you have a proven problem-solving skill and a can-do attitude.
