The Landlord and Tenant Board is part of Tribunals Ontario. TO is an organization of 14 independent adjudicative tribunals helping people and businesses resolve disputes in the social, property assessment, safety and licensing sectors.
Each year our tribunals receive and resolve nearly 100,000 cases – providing fair, accessible dispute resolution to thousands of Ontarians.
About the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB)
The LTB is a quasi-judicial tribunal which, through its mediation adjudication services, is responsible for resolving landlord and tenant applications filed under the Residential Tenancies Act, such as disputes between residential landlords and tenants and eviction applications filed by non-profit housing co-operatives.
The LTB also provides information about its practices and procedures and the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants under the Act.
