About the role

Coliban Waters Financial Services department are currently looking for a 15-month fixed term Finance Officer to join the team. Our Financial Services team is a key support to business and is responsible for the effective leadership in financial management and providing customer service to the business.

This role makes a key contribution to the team by undertaking the administration of the daily finance functions, assisting in month end preparation and providing general administration and support to the wider accounts team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing records and receipts
• Performing bank account and credit card reconciliations
• Ensuring all payments are accurate and processes adhere to required timelines.
• Preparing & reconciliation of monthly statuary obligations
• Assisting accounts payable with queries around the accounting system.
• Prepare month end reconciliations for bank accounts and other associated ledger accounts and Investigate variances that occur.

Skills and Experiences:
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Substantial experience in accounts receivable and reconciliations.
• Proven ability in processing sundry billing, bank reconciliations, general and accounts principles.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including internal/external clients and suppliers.
• Experience with finance/ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft excel.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability analyse problems and find solutions.

Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize workload under minimal supervision, and refer or escalate issues as required.

Salary

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 2 $58,872 – $65,426 base salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
