Significant transport technology organisation Senior Accounting position Salary range $160,000 – $170,000 per annum plus super

The State Tolling Corporation has been established to manage the revenue stream from the North East Link project once complete. It will be a state of the art technology solution for the largest road project in Victoria’s history. If you are a strong finance manager you get to be part of shaping this organisation.

The role’s main purpose will initially be the set up of financial processes including payments, contracts, internal payroll and statutory requirements. This is a senior accounting function reporting to the CEO.

You will have strong skills in creating financial strategy and systems ideally in a start up business. It would be advantageous if you had exposure to government process and regulations. However more important than all of that will be your exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills as you will be providing advice to the CEO and board. This position requires an exceptional financial manager at the top of their field in all aspects of the role. This is not just a “back office” role, you will be front and centre in the financial management of this important project and organisation.

The key competencies you will need to demonstrate include:
Attention to detail and strong technical accounting knowledge Interpersonal communication skills and stakeholder management Self directed and accountable It is expected you will have tertiary qualifications in accounting or commerce and be CA or CPA qualified. You should also demonstrate experience in accounting software and reporting systems.

This role offers the opportunity to be a significant contributor to the financial management of a ground- breaking road transport project. The position is full time permanent so provides excellent job security with real purpose. The salary on offer is in the range of $160,000 – $170,000 plus superannuation.
