Northern Healthcare Hiring for Finance Apprentice Job at Eccles, Scotland Full Time

This is an excellent opportunity for a person keen to start a career in Finance. This role will provide great exposure to a wide range of finance and accounting functions whilst learning Finance/Accounting Assistant AAT Level 2 in the apprenticeship programme, for the next 12 – 15 months. The successful applicant will support the Finance Manager, Purchase Ledger, Procurement, Sales Ledger, and Cash Management.

Northern Health Care provides mental health recovery services across many regions within the UK. Our services consist of support living and community outreach services which provides our residents and service users with access to 24-hour support from experienced clinical and support staff.

Your main focus will be to perform finance and accounting tasks and to provide administrative support throughout the finance department under supervision, whilst studying for Finance/Accounting Assistant AAT Level 2 in the apprenticeship programme.

Working Hours

The role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week 20% of which will be dedicated to your studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform finance tasks under the supervision of current finance team members, gain experience in all finance departments to support learning
• Provide administrative support to all departments, maintaining filing system ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Perform verification checks on purchase invoices and processing invoices on Sage
• Assist with the raising of sales ledger invoices
• Assist with cash allocations
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring all documentation has been processed and entered onto the finance package correctly
• To deal with incoming queries and ensure that each query is resolved quickly and efficiently to give the best customer service
• Assist in monitoring central payments mailbox
• Maintaining relevant spreadsheets
• Perform tasks that comply with the company’s audit processes
• Work closely with other departments, to ensure finance tasks are carried out in a timely manner
• Working with the highest level of customer service at all times
• Any other duties appropriate to your role.
