Cognia Hiring for Test Scorer at Remote Full Time

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Test scorers evaluate and grade student responses to non-multiple choice questions and other collected evidence of student learning at the elementary and secondary school levels, and assign scores via computer according to established standards in the content areas of ELA (Reading & Writing), Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

• Ÿ Read, evaluate, and assign scores to computer- imaged (or paper copies of) student work produced in standardized tests.
• Ÿ Attend and follow training sessions related to the content area being scored that is conducted by scoring leadership via various training methods.
• Ÿ Comprehend and absorb training materials of varying complexity.
• Ÿ Possess basic computer skills and successfully use scoring software.
• Ÿ Comprehend and follow established scoring guidelines and scoring instructions.
• Ÿ Pass qualifying sets of pre-scored student responses via computer for each item trained in order to be admitted to scoring that item.
• Ÿ Accept and apply performance feedback regarding quality of scoring and production.
• Ÿ Maintain established accuracy and productivity standards.
• Ÿ Alert scoring leadership of any anomalies noticed in student work.
• Ÿ Work quietly in a professional manner.
• Ÿ Must be punctual and must notify Staffing Agency of any absence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ÿ Bachelor’s degree required
• Ÿ Employee is hired on a per project basis
• Ÿ Must be able to absorb and apply training on PC based timekeeping software
