About the role
Reporting to the Midway UK & Ireland HR Director you will provide people advice, guidance and support to the Blackpool Regional Director, and her management teams across the resort. You’ll lead, engage, and support them with delivering the Blackpool business plan, drive HR metrics, manage staffing budgets and workforce planning and advise on employee relations issues.
This is a broad and fast paced HR role where you’ll need to adapt your approach to diverse business needs. You’ll handle complex employee relations and legal matters, evaluate training and development needs, co-ordinate senior recruitment and act as a central point of contact for advice and direction for the leadership team, and managers of your attractions.
You will champion initiatives in our People Strategy that will shape our HR processes across the wider Midway division, identifying and implementing change and empowering those around you to deliver exceptional HR practices. These could include Engagement, Reward, Force for Good and Diversity and Inclusion.
In this full-time permanent role, predominantly working Monday to Friday, you will be based at the Tower and hot desk across the other Blackpool sites but link into the Merlin Midway HR team who are spread across the UK.

A proven generalist HR background in a commercially focused, fast paced environment
A relevant professional qualification
Outstanding leadership skills and a highly motivated team orientated approach
Excellent communication and motivational skills, with a real passion for this business and our brands
Experience of managing relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels
The ability to take tough business decisions and sensitively handle difficult people issues
