The Role

The role of Educator includes, but is not limited to the development and delivery of a range of training programs within a Registered Training Organisation. A key focus of the role will be responsiveness to organisational, stakeholder and individual client needs within the RTO service expectation framework. It includes co-delivery of Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.

This is a fixed term opportunity until 30 June 2023 (extension subject to funding).

What you need to bring

Essential

• TAESS00014 – Enterprise Trainer-Presenting Skill Set OR willingness to obtain (Where the successful applicant needs to complete a TAE, Centacare will provide support in order to obtain the qualification.)
• Excellent skills in training facilitation within vocational area
• Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness in approach to work
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage competing priorities and problem solve
• Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check. (previously known as ‘Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance’)
• Due to the nature of our services, Centacare is required to comply with COVID19 government directions. You will be required to provide Centacare with your COVID19 vaccination certificate. • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence

Desirable

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) with TAELLN411 AND vocational qualifications directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided (CHC43515)
• Diploma or above in a Training and Education (TAE) qualification (such as Diploma of Vocational Education and Training)
• Three years of VET training and experience managing course delivery
• Strong knowledge of the VET sector and the National Standards for RTOs (2015)
• CHC43515 Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work and/or Industry experience in Mental Health Peer Work.
• Experience using Learning management Systems
