We are looking for a part-time accountant to assist with our recent growth and move to a new building to manage our clients’ accounting and tax preparation needs. Accountant responsibilities include reconciling bank statements and credit cards, and preparing and entering payroll entries. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and an eye for spotting numerical mistakes.

Responsibilities

• Manage all monthly accounting transactions
• Prepare monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

Skills

• Work experience as an Accountant
• QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks on-line
• Excel and Word skills
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
