About The Position
Under the direction of the Principal, the Extended Daycare Staff is responsible for coordinating before and after school activities, games, crafts, and homework for K-8 students.
Requirements
- Active, practicing Roman Catholic (required)
- Respects and understands a Catholic school philosophy
- Must have experience working with elementary school age children.
- Be a self-starter and perform the job with little supervision.
- Possess or attain CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Proactive response to any issues and concerns that may arise.
- Ability to multitask and cope with a stressful environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist students, individually or in small groups with homework assignments.
- Monitor individual and/or group activities in a variety of settings.
- Communicate with the parents through daily drop off and pick up.
- Maintain a safe environment for students.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies.
- Assist with student check-in/out.
- Perform other jobs/tasks/duties deemed necessary for a smooth functioning program as assigned by the principal.
- Keep the room neat and orderly.
- Report any incidents and behavioral problems to the principal.
