We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our HR team in a new role for our organization. Our team is growing fast, and our people are our most important asset at Soapy Joe’s. The Talent Manager will be responsible for the design, implementation and sustainability of the talent focused programs at Soapy Joe’s. The Talent Manager will develop a recruiting program focused on attracting the right talent at the right time in partnership with key hiring partners throughout the organization. This role is also critical in the onboarding and retention of our new hires, and success will be based on hiring, retention and turnover metrics. Finally this role will be a key player in the ongoing development of our teams and will play a key role in the execution of role based competencies, development conversations, succession planning and career planning.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Develop a talent pipeline to consistently fill our locations with quality and diverse talent at each of our site locations
• Recruit in the community through a variety of sources including job fairs, college engagements, non-profit organizations and other events to source candidates
• Continuously fill a pipeline of talent ready to fill our manager in training program to join as future leaders for our car wash locations
• Manage, prioritize and quickly close out job postings while meeting deadlines and hitting benchmarks
• Provide administrative ownership, maintenance and design of our recruiting tool in Paylocity
• Job design and analysis: Write and manage job descriptions, job postings and interview guides
• Interview candidates and participate in the decision making of selecting new hires
• Participate in the onboarding process of new hires to ensure they are engaging with culture, values, and are receiving the training to confidently perform their new role
• Develop and meet KPI’s, benchmarks and metrics for recruiting, retention and turnover
• Provide partnership to hiring managers to fill critical needs quickly, train in interviewing and sourcing skills, and provide advice on quality hiring decisions
• Provide strategic guidance and planning to build a program for talent that will match and support the growth of Soapy Joe’s over time
• Execute annual talent strategy including development plans, succession planning, talent assessments and career planning
• Stay up to date on all employment laws as they apply to recruiting and onboarding. Use this knowledge to develop policies and ensure all recruiting documentation and practices are compliant

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: *

• 5-8 years experience with proven results in an individual contributor talent management and recruiting role
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• PHR / SPHR / or SHRM certification
• Proven ability to develop and execute recruiting strategy including: marketing of roles / developing community partnerships / managing candidates / diversity focused sourcing / and retention and engagement of new hires
• Experience in writing job descriptions, SOP’s, and engaging job postings
• Self-driven and able to effectively produce results with little supervision
• Ability to effectively produce and execute training for hiring managers on interviewing and hiring best practices
• Experience advising leadership on recruiting strategy and ability to engage key partners to assist in making quality program decisions
• Thorough understanding of HR compliance as it relates to the entire employee lifecycle, and up to date on legal environment changes
• Must have transportation and ability to travel throughout San Diego County
