Duties & Responsibilities

Due to the rapid expansion of our business, we now looking for a part time qualified accountant to join our finance team reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This role is fully remote, and the working pattern is flexible with approximately 24 hours per week required.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day finance activities including payroll and processing payments, but also play key role in producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and annual financial statements. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for preparing annual accounts and managing the audit process.

Key responsibilities are as follows;

  • Finance management
  • Financial and management accounting and reporting
  • Financial control
  • Invoicing and credit control
  • Collaborate with teams and department heads across the business on budgeting and performance against budget
  • Payroll and pensions
  • VAT
  • Cashflow management and forecasting

Core Competencies

You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have a strong finance background, including:

  • Experience of producing monthly management accounts and supporting schedules, including monthly account reconciliations
  • Experience of producing annual financial statements in conjunction with external advisors
  • Experience of managing a successful audit process
  • Quarterly VAT returns and compliance
  • Managing monthly payroll via an external payroll bureau and annual P11D and PSA submissions
  • Monthly cashflow management and cashflow forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong accounting experience
  • Commercial and business awareness
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
