Job Description and Duties

· Management and responsibility of the cash flow including forward forecasting

· Full book-keeping responsibilities including positing invoices, expenses and reconciling the bank accounts.

· Preparing management accounts only a monthly basis along with key commentary for the directors and full year performance outlook.

· Full responsibility of the chart of accounts

· Ownership of the quarterly and annual budgeting processes for restaurants and HQ

· Setting up weekly and ad hoc payment runs

· Prepare supplier statement reconciliations

· VAT return preparation and submission

· Completion of balance sheet reconciliations

· Maintenance of the Fixed asset register

· Management and ownership of the payroll process and preparation of the payroll on a monthly basis

· Key relationship with Operations teams and able to assist on any financial and analytical requests  Build and develop the Finance function to support and drive the business as it grows.

· Provide analytical commercial insights to enable the business to improve performance and drive profitability.

· Ownership of the 5-year profit and cashflow plan and development of the model as business scales up.

· Core relationship with external stakeholder’s i.e Bank, accountants, and tax advisors.

· Exploration and management of the process for future potential debt and financing options

· Completion of year-end accounts

· Manage the company finances through Xero and overlook integration with iZettle/Planday/Receipt bank

· Take all required action for the smooth operation of Accounts, ownership of templates and operations related to cash/expenses

· Reconcile internal weekly sheets with the shops and prepare the weekly P&L

· Using cloud-based software, Xero, as well as packages such as Microsoft Excel

· Assist with costing and supply chain

· Processing management journals, such as prepayments Processing management journals, such as prepayment

· Be Solutions Oriented

· Be open to feedback from all members of the team and always ask for constructive feedback

Finance Controller Requirements:

· Accounting degree or equivalent.

· Proven experience in finance management.

· Good communication skills

· Strong leadership qualities

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals

· Auditing experience

· Compliance oriented

· Proficiency in accounting software

· Analytical skills

· A can-do, positive attitude
