The Role
We are currently seeking applications for a Commercial Finance Analyst to partner with our Operations team to provide financial analysis and commercial insights. Your amazing stakeholder engagement and management skills will allow you to quickly build credibility in this space to ensure the insights you provide are easily adopted. These insights around reporting, key drivers, and trends as well as partnering with the Bus for budgeting and forecasting will be key to your success in this role.
The location of this role is flexible – either Tatura or Melbourne based and could include travel to sites on a project basis.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Support the financial planning and provide analysis across the development of consolidated financial plans, budgets and forecasts, key assumptions across Operations, aligning with Group approach.
  • Produce new reporting capability/analysis of Operations business unit performance including key variances, trends, risks and opportunities
  • Optimise business outcomes through commercial experience and understanding of P&L levers that drive financial performance.
  • Monitors and analyses budget, forecast, actuals and other financial information and prepares presentations with recommendations to senior leadership team and business unit leads
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Ability to interpret complex analysis and implement strategies to maximise profit
  • Previous experience in a business partner role with demonstrable examples of analysis that has led to commercial savings
  • Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance with CA or CPA
  • Experience in FMCG with CAPEX experience would be well regarded
  • Successfully developed relationships and quickly gained an understanding of the BUs you have partnered with.
  • Commercially savvy.
