WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the IT Senior Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the ITS training curriculum.

The purpose of this new role is to improve the value, productivity and satisfaction of IT Service (ITS) staff, by ensuring they have the right skills and capabilities to execute their existing role effectively and efficiently, whilst ensuring they also have a clear short-term and long-term development plan which is aligned with the overall ITS learning curriculum. This enhanced ITS capability will also enable the business, improving productivity and satisfaction overall.

In this new position, you will design, develop and implement a new global training curriculum which will consist of core/flagship learnings (essential skills), learning journeys (practical learning work-flows for common ITS playbook processes), shared learning (peer-to-peer training) and individual training. The curriculum will also operate in partnership with the overall BCG Global L&D service offering.

The role will involve creating the curriculum framework, content curation / enabling content creation through the use of subject-matter expertise, marketing, communication, training coordination and reporting.

As a member of the Learning & Development CoE, you will lead a small team of CoE members and report directly to the ITS Transformation Director.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

• Design and implement the new global learning curriculum for ITS (project-based activity)
• Continuously improve the ITS L&D service offering, contributing to the employee value proposition for ITS staff
• Organise, communicate, execute, and report ITS training programs, including:
• Flagship learning
• ITS learning journeys
• Shared learning (peer-to-peer)
• Individual learning
• Create and encourage a learning culture in ITS, where staff actively participate in training activities and self-improvement is recognised (both internally and externally i.e. formal certification)
• Leverage ITS subject-matter expertise to improve the overall (specialist) ITS support service offering
• Create and implement change strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance. Cooperate with project teams and managers involved in the change
• Identify risks for resistance as well as the development of plans to address those risks
• Support and manage the necessary communication activities related to change
• Appraise, select, define and implement a learning tool platform which will enable the ITS global L&D curriculum, providing access to online training content for all ITS staff

Education

• B.Sc. or equivalent, preferably in computer science, IT or another technical subject area

Experience / Knowledge

• 3-5 years of L&D or IT service management experience
• A solid understanding of the different ways people learn and adopt/adapt to change
• Experience and strong knowledge of learning principles, methodologies, and tools
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Experience implementing learning programs within large (multi-national) companies
• Experience of managing small teams (including matrix management for shared resource)
• Experience of managing learning programs across cultures and having good operational knowledge in the IT services space
