About Zaneen

Zaneen is looking for an educated Technical/Quality Control Manager, with experience in the lighting and/ or electrical industry. This candidate needs to offer a vast range of skillsets, from detail orientation, clear written and verbal communication, digital program knowledge, and efficient time management.

The position is sectioned into two main areas of expertise: Quality Control & Technical

Quality Control Responsibilities

• Oversee the production to establish quality control procedures.
• Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of in-process materials, raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform quality inspection (new orders, and returns) process and collect/record data

• Carry out ongoing lab and field sampling – Auditing visual, dimensional, and mechanical tests of materials and processes.
• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
• Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.

• Verify all processes are conforming to established quality standards and required customer specifications.
• Investigate customer complaints regarding quality issues and develop a solution to support post-sales issues.
• Manage recorded documents with all technical and tested data

• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
• Assist in the development of needed records and standards and maintain accurate and detailed files as required.
• Assist with auditing, writing, revising and verifying quality standards and developing forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality data.

• Assist in establishing new procedural steps, and or improve existing procedures

• Designing and implement the procedure for the use of Statistical Process Control across all departments as required.
• Document and implement inspection criteria and procedure
• Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Technical Responsibilities:

· Work directly with Technical person(s) from manufacturing partners: email, phone or video call communication should there be any modification required to comply with CSA/UL standards.

· Maintain component list for each product(s) for all manufacturing partners (using our software program)

· Manage and provide Technical support for component selection – drivers, LED including RGBW, dimmers, DMX controls. etc.

· Provide technical assistance to Production Manager – inclusive and not limited to, wiring, dimming, DMX controls, etc.

· Manage and maintain our installation instructions

· Support our internal team with technical information for our website, inclusive of data and data entry

· Oversee Zaneen CSA/ UL laboratory activities to make sure all the tests are performed according to the CSA / UL standards

· Work with our Lab Technician to make sure the laboratory policies and procedures are maintained

· Review new product testing and scheduling performed by our Lab technician

· Support operations team with our Task Management program (Smartsheet) data entry

Skills

· Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel

· Proficient in Data Entry system(s) – CRM / FRP programs

· Knowledgeable in lighting / and or electrical

· Experience with video conferencing

· Organized and detail oriented

· Expert in communication, verbal and written

· Displays clear managerial / director skills

· Resourceful, and enabled problem solver
