Job Description:

Platte River Networks offers complete managed IT services to businesses throughout Colorado.  We become the client’s IT department or work with their existing staff to provide Help Desk support, including hardware/software, application support, and some network troubleshooting. Due to growth in our business, we are hiring for an IT Project Technician. This position functions as the technical leader within the team assisting Technicians and Specialist in solving complex and escalated issues. The ideal candidate is level-headed, has a strong chill factor, and can be trusted to execute project work autonomously and accurately.
This is not a contract position.
Location:  Hybrid/in-office/remote

Primary Responsibilities

• Qualified Candidates must have five or more years of experience leveraging practical application of the following skills and experience.
• Facilitate formal technical training with service delivery team. Be a mentor to others and transfer knowledge in group and individual settings.
• Server / Network Support (Fixes, Repairs, Patches, Installs, Maintenance)
• Hardware and software support on appliances such as: Routers, Firewalls, VPN concentrators, Switches, Tape Libraries, etc.
• Disaster / Data Recovery (Installation, Configuration, Testing, Restores, Procedures, Policies)
• Hardware and software support on computers, servers, mobile devices, etc.
• Application and hardware vendor management
• Telecommunications Support (Reviews and Manage Vendors)
• Generate and Maintain Policy / Procedure Documentation (Network, Servers, Security)
• Maintain, install and repair servers
• Installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN network systems
• User Support (Computers, Software, Training, Helpdesk)
• Documentation of work performed and contributions to internal knowledge base and PSA.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory, including Group Policy
• Practical experience in Networking Layer 2 and Layer 3
• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft client/server networks of all sizes
• Day-to-day management of O365 environment
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications. Familiarity with industry standard and customer-specific
• applications.
• End user support of applications, including contacting vendors to resolve issues
• Perform desktop and server migrations and upgrades
• Experience accurately logging tickets and billing time (ex: Autotask, ConnectWise)
• Management of VMWare, including administration, installation, provisioning, support
• Configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (ex: Fortinet, SonicWall
