• Supporting internal budget preparation and financial performance reporting;
• Supporting external budget preparation and reporting process;
• Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements;
• Preparation of monthly financial management reports;
• Perform asset accounting activities;
• Preparation and delivery of financial advice and support to ASD business areas;
• Building and sustaining internal and external stakeholder relationships;
• Supporting financial assurance and audit activities;
• Research & contribute to the preparation & maintenance of financial policies and procedures; and
• Ensuring financial governance and compliance requirements are met.

ASD Finance is seeking ASD 6 Finance professionals with a broad range of skill sets to undertake functions including:

• Lead support to internal budget preparation and financial performance reporting;
• Lead support to external budget preparation and reporting process;
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements;
• Preparation of monthly financial management reports;
• Coordinate and perform asset accounting activities;
• Preparation and delivery of financial advice and support to ASD business areas;
• Resolution of complex accounting problems
• Building and sustaining internal and external stakeholder relationships;
• Lead financial assurance and audit activities;
• Research & contribute to the preparation & maintenance of financial policies and procedures; and
• Ensuring financial governance and compliance requirements are met.

You should be able to apply your finance expertise to undertake a range of financial and budget management tasks including; budget preparation, financial support & analysis, financial reporting, financial advice and support to business areas, and asset accounting & support.
