PRE SALES ENGINEER/Business Consultant (Salary 70K per year + Commission and bonuses Uncapped) Excellent earning potential.

The successful candidate will be working within existing accounts and assisting with discovering/developing new accounts once they have expressed interest in our firm.

Matthijssen, Inc provides superior IT services and support for small/midsize business. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work with our existing and potential clients. Responsibilities include, meeting with clients to understand goals and objectives, evaluating and documenting existing technology, researching solutions, designing and presenting recommended solutions. A successful applicant must be prepared to demonstrate their technical, business process and communication abilities.

General Requirements

• Previous IT consulting/service experience with SMB market- Ability to analyze and document systems in an organized manner- Good presentation, writing, and communication skills as it relates to articulating technology designs, issues, limitations, etc.- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish professional working relationships with varying levels of both business and technical personnel- Ability to quickly identify and absorb customer business processes and functions in an effort to identify applicable areas for improvement through the use of technology

Technical Requirements

• Solid understanding of data networks, design, implementation, and servicing processes.- Solid understanding of network services and protocols including TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSL- Solid understanding of routing, port, and protocol use with firewall systems (Sonicwall preferred)- Familiarity with local and network scanning processes and toolsets for pre-sales solution building, and value proposals.- Microsoft experience a must, Linux and VMware experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
