StatsBomb was founded in January 2017 to provide data, analytics and consultancy to football teams, media and gambling companies, and has grown into a global multi-sports data and analytics SAAS provider.

About The Role

StatsBomb has the most detailed football data available in the industry and is growing fast. Our Finance Team is growing too. We believe one of the best ways to support our growth is to develop our underlying financial processes to be best in class alongside our products.

We are looking for a Reporting and Analysis Finance Manager to support our growth.

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Head of Finance and our current Finance Manager in managing the Finance function on a day-to-day basis and will be the lead for cost and revenue reporting. We are currently hiring for a new Assistant Accountant that will report directly into this role.

Your responsibilities:

• Partner with key stakeholders to manage and report against monthly forecasts and business plans
• Ownership of the relevant aspects of the monthly timetable and preparation monthly Balance Sheet and P&L accounts with alongside the current Finance Manager
• Develop and lead team level Management Accounts and Product Level reporting across the business
• Work alongside the Finance Manger to manage the teams Assistant Accountants and the day to day operations of the Finance team
• Oversee the Financial Operations, in particular Accounts Payable, Receivable and Credit Control

Your technical skills:

Essential:

• Qualified Accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing regular management accounts
• Experience of partnering with stakeholders across all levels
• Good technical background and understanding of key accounting standards
• The ability to take ownership of problems and use initiative to find practical solutions

Desirable:

• Experience using Xero
• Experience working in a SAAS company and an understanding of SAAS metrics
• 2 – 4 years post qualification experience
• Experience in preparing product accounts and or service line reporting
• Experience tracking and managing R&D expenditure
• Experience working in a scaling business environment

Your background:

• A proven business partner experienced in budgeting, forecasting and the delivery of strategic plans
• Proven delivery in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• A pragmatic and proactive problem-solver, calm and confident under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and deadline focussed
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well within the wider team and communicate effectively
