Currently we have a fantastic opportunity for a bright and pro-active Talent Acquisition Specialist who will be responsible for delivering the full recruitment life cycle for a portfolio of roles required for the business. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the delivery of a high quality recruitment process that delights customers (Candidates and Hiring Managers) ensuring that the business is resourced with top quality candidates that are aligned to the Weir Group culture and values.
The main responsibilities of this position would include (but not limited to)
  • Create talent pools aligned to the critical roles and skill sets required for the future
  • Utilise and where necessary, create reports that are aligned to the ‘BUY’ component of the Strategic Workforce Planning process identifying where there are opportunities and risks for the business
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers and the HR team to understand the needs of the business and become a trusted advisor for the delivery of recruitment services (business intimacy and solution focused)
  • Create a recruitment forecast overview based on the information obtained from relevant stakeholders so that pro-active plans and resources can be organised
  • Leverage the attract event program calendar aligned to the recruitment forecast
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with industry partners and connect regularly with respective Universities, TAFE’s, Schools, Alumni Associations and Professional Bodies in Australia
  • Support the attract event program calendar, including attending on-site and on-campus events to help market Weir Minerals as an employer of choice
  • Ensure full understanding of job requisitions prior to recruitment process commencing by conducting a full “Pre-Recruitment Meeting’ with all Hiring Managers
  • Upload all requirements into Applicant Tracking System as per recruitment procedure
  • Ensure job advertisements are uploaded and in line with Weir Group Marketing guidelines
  • Pro-actively recruit passive talent, as well as active candidates
  • Utilise the available recruitment tools for the identification of top talent (Linked In Recruiter, SEEK, etc)
  • Manage all applications via Applicant Tracking System
  • Utilise phone screening question templates and deliver the screens
  • Conduct competency based interviews to ensure that only talent aligned to Weir Minerals values and expectations are hired
  • Ensure employee value proposition is effectively communicated to candidates within the recruitment process
  • Coach and support Hiring Managers on the Recruitment Procedure and interview skills
  • Facilitate and provide feedback on pre-hire ability and assessments where applicable
  • Organise and deliver pre-employment checks
  • Support the provision of employment contracts with HR team
  • Ensure that the candidates and Hiring Managers receive an exceptional service and are kept updated and informed on progress through the whole recruitment process
  • With approval form the Talent Acquisition Manager APAC engage external recruitment providers from the Preferred Supplier List for a role that cannot be filled by the in-house team
  • Supports delivery of roles at multi-locations
  • Provision of reports that are aligned to the Recruitment Procedure SLA and KPI’s (automated where possible)
  • Track and understand the performance of the recruitment process, taking corrective action where required
  • Participating in performance reviews with key recipients of service
  • Support with the review and feedback of new systems or processes
  • Pro-active in reviewing recruitment and talent acquisition thought leadership papers to keep abreast of new developments and opportunities
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to talent acquisition and recruitment (i.e. Kaizen events)
To be successful in this role, the candidate will:
  • Solid understanding of HR, Recruitment and education system in Australia
  • Extensive internal/external recruitment exposure
  • Exposure and experience developing and facilitating events
  • Exposure and experience delivering a wide variety of roles (functional / technical / senior level)
  • Experience delivering competency based interviewing
  • Degree/diploma or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3+ year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
