Conrad Consulting Ltd Looking for Senior Structural Engineer at Edinburgh Full Time

Due to continued success, our client is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their building structures team in their modern central Edinburgh office.

Although the team is well established with over 100 staff, they are actively expanding to deliver projects in healthcare, biotech, education, defence, custodial, rail, water, energy, industrial, food and drink and commercial sub-sectors within Scotland and beyond.

As a Senior Structural Engineer reporting to more experienced engineers and a director, you will deliver projects that range from 1M – 450M with active projects within health, education, custodial, defence and water. It is expected that you will take the design lead on occasion and meet with clients and stakeholders.

On a typical day you will:

• Provide a proactive approach to clients to ensure the best solutions are offered
• Provide analysis and designs of structural engineering schemes
• Demonstration of knowledge in the environmental aspects/impacts of civil and structural design
• Maximise profitability of projects, monitoring the budget and anticipating potential problems of the project
• Provide leadership, support and mentoring to professionally develop team members

Structural Engineer Profile:

• Chartered MIStructE/MICE or equivalent
• SER Certified or close to certification
• Experience within a similar design consultancy role
• Experience successfully managing budgets and delivering project on time and to a high standard
• Ability to manage a diverse team of mixed experience and working styles
