Job Title: Summit Engineer

You will be joining the Derivatives Trade Lifecycle team within Fixed Income and Currencies Technology as Summit Engineer in the development team. Summit services the bank by acting as a global trade store, providing trade related data to several downstream systems. Your key responsibilities:

• Producing high quality C++/Summit applications with a focus on stability, simplicity, maintainability, and efficiency
• Participating in delivering a stable production platform. Providing third line support for both new and existing systems
• Taking responsibility for applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, from understanding requirements, to final delivery to production
• Liaise with colleagues working on other components in rates technology to produce the best end-to-end solution for our clients
• Contributing to a team drive towards technical excellence through knowledge sharing and documentation

Your skills and experience:

• Experience writing software using Summit APIs and working in the financial services industry
• Experience of developing C/C++ (must have) and Java/C# (desirable); test driven development and agile methodologies as part of the SDLC (desirable).
• Oracle or other relational database experience and Linux platform experience. Able to understand and behavior of applications when deployed to a Linux platform.
• Google Cloud Platform experience (desirable). Experience with other cloud providers will be considered
• Excellent analytical skills and confident to make autonomous decisions
