Avalon Controls Ltd. is a locally owned and operated system integration company specializing in process control and electrical engineering. Our core business is providing solutions to our valued clients in oil and gas, marine, power generation, mining and process automation industries.

Avalon is currently recruiting a Project Engineer. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Design and configuration of PLC/DCS based control systems.
• Development of SCADA/HMI software.
• Industrial communications network design.
• Hardware selection and procurement.
• Coordination of construction and installation of equipment with fabrication and field service personnel.
• On-site startup and commissioning of industrial control systems.
• Troubleshooting of PLC/DCS based control systems.
• Writing of technical reports and specifications.

This is a highly technical position requiring a broad knowledge of Engineering Sciences. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, creative, detail-oriented and a skilled problem-solver. Industry experience and academic achievement is considered an asset. Interested candidates should respond in writing only.

This position will require the successful applicant to attend land based work sites as well as offshore marine and oil and gas installations for extended periods of time. Some international travel may also be required.

Salary: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
