Job Summary:
We are adding to our technology team! The Software Engineer will participate in new product development as well as improving existing products. You will join an empowered Agile team, working on technical designs, implementing solutions, and partnering broadly across our growing mix of Product Managers, Scrum Masters, Engineers, and Stakeholders. We are looking for someone who prioritizes collaboration and brings a unique mix of technical and interpersonal skills, enabling us to become an even stronger team. You are a mid-level engineer with experience working in some or all of the following: Java and/or React, relational and non-relational databases, RESTful webservices, and SAAS/Cloud applications. Your proactivity and desire for personal growth is what will allow aPriori to scale into the future.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements assigned feature work mostly independently
- Designs & builds medium/high complexity components
- Participates in hiring interviews and provides feedback on candidates
- Performs code reviews
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Full stack engineer with experience in one or more relevant language including Java
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team
Education and Experience:
- Software engineering experience developing both front-end and back-end applications
- Experience developing in Java with a preference to also have experience in JavaScript frameworks such as React (ideal) or Angular
- Successful experience leading a team on a complex project
- Experience designing and implementing major components of software products or responsible for overall product architecture
- Demonstrable experience developing and consuming RESTful web services
- Experience in SaaS/Cloud application development, including an understanding of security concerns and multi-tenancy
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
