Job Description:

Finance Manager Responsibilities:

The Finance Manager is the final person in the sales process before the customer delivery. Finance Managers are primarily responsible for all legal and financial paperwork related to the purchase of an automobile. This includes a good working knowledge and compliance with the Lee Johnson Auto Family Sales and F&I Handbook.

• Protect the dealer’s assets.
• Deliver the customer.
• Collect full payment regardless of the form (cash, finance, or lease).
• Ensure the customer experience is a positive one resulting in positive CSI scores and online reviews.
• Increase the gross profit on each sale by offering 100% of the applicable products to 100% of the customers, 100% of the time.
• Monitor funding and assist the finance assistant when not with a customer
• Answer customer calls and assist with any questions regarding their purchase.
• Answer lender calls and assist with funding questions, delays, or issues.
• Assist sales managers with loading all necessary deal information into the Dealer Management System whenever possible.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Finance Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At a minimum, the Finance Manager should have the following qualifications:

• Basic product knowledge
• Customer relation skills
• Efficient keyboarding skills
• CDK Computer experience
• Communication skills in person, writing and over the telephone
• Basic business math skills, including installment loans and lease transactions
• A good understanding of bank programs including term, rate mark-up options, and back-end allowances available with dealership’s primary lenders.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

In addition to personal goals established during the annual performance reviews, this employee’s performance will be evaluated against the following performance standards:

• Customer satisfaction is consistently maintained at a high level.
• Funding is kept clean with no less than 90% of the running 30 days of business funded within 7-10 days.
• Personal sales are at, or above, established goals.
• The Finance manager’s paperwork is organized and complete to ensure timely funding of loan and lease contracts.
• Punctuality in reporting to work.
