Odiyan Buddhist Center Hiring for Buddhist Sacred Art Installation Project at California Full Time

You will learn how to work with metal (welding and shaping), concrete (rounded art forms and pouring), wood (basic carpentry) and clay (sculpting, firing and assembly) to form a circular walkway of large-scale Buddhist symbolic art surrounding the main Temple of Odiyan.

Includes housing, home-cooked vegetarian meals, living allowance ($150/month, $216/month after one year).  This is a unique opportunity to live within a long-standing Buddhist community where you can learn practical skills while engaging inner development for your own benefit, and the benefit of others.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum commitment of six months.
• You must be physically strong and good with working with your hands. Some experience working with hand tools is preferred, but not required.
