CATCHY INTRO
TerraSense is looking to expand!
We’re a fully funded startup: enjoy the culture, environment and pace of a startup with the security and financial stability of an already established company.
We truly believe that it’s our team that drives this company and its success so far, and we are looking for talents to join us. We want people who encompass our values of being self-driven, authentic, and interested in pushing the envelope of AI/deep learning.
WHY WORK WITH US?*
We believe in the change we can bring with our technology. Our technology is on the forefront of AI and deep learning with real world application. We work together with NVIDIA, UBC and Transport Canada to help modernize Canada. Our products work with two sectors: Aerospace and the Defense sector.
Our team consists of people with a variety of backgrounds who enjoy leading initiatives and are self motivated (besides trusting you with the work, we don’t believe in clocking people’s hours, we offer flexible office hours), hungry to learn more (we are happy to support and pay for that too!), are team players (we love doing team activities like micro-brewery sampling), and are passionate in seeing how we can change the world together.
We’re located in the beautiful city of Kelowna, British Columbia. We’re convinced it’s the greatest place on earth and to prove it, we’re offering the right person the chance to experience it with us: we’ll pay for the relocation fees.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING…*
As an Intermediate machine learning engineer, you will be working directly with data scientists and software engineers on our MIST product line. You will be on the development team for our MIST product, working to create and deploy aerial surveillance with artificial intelligence. The product will utilize edge computing, computer vision and deep learning algorithms. This project is our core project developed through the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program. You will use your computer vision deep learning and software development experience to deploy neural networks that detect, identify and track objects in the MIST product. The role will include converting and deploying deep learning models to edge computing devices and creating/maintaining MLOps pipelines. Internally, you will be in a team of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Quality Assurance Engineers.

“Okanagan Relocation Top Up” – We aren’t blind to the fact that we’re asking you to relocate, on top of the fact that while the world has removed to remote, we do require you to come into the office periodically (don’t worry we have never been in the office full-time, even pre-Covid). Of course that comes with a relocation package, but we also want you to be able to enjoy the perks that the Okanagan has to offer (extensive wineries, world-renown ski hills, and sandy beaches anyone?) without breaking the bank. This is why we offer a 10% top up once you are relocated.
