THE OPPORTUNITY

• Oversight of financial activities/transactions, finance support and partner with Business Unit Lead, Brand Managers and overseas markets of Allflex Automation
• Location is flexible: Hamilton, NZL or Sydney, AUS.

Our Finance team brings together our financial perspectives into our overall strategic and tactical decision making. We use state-of-the-art techniques for financial analysis, planning, accounting, reporting and performance evaluation. This allows the organization to continue advancing medical innovation and improve lives.

The Animal Health FP&A team provides financial planning, analysis and decision support to our Company’s Animal Health commercial markets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ensuring appropriateness and accuracy of financial statements prepared under Transition Services Agreement including but not limited to

1. Request workpapers / transaction data from LIC, on a monthly basis for review and validation

2.Transform the local monthly TB to meet our Company’s accounting standards in a format compatible for reporting and address control requirements

3.Generate Management Reports to help track sales performance, expense and P&L management

4.Manage cash flow for the entity in close coordination with LIC & our Company’s treasury

5.Regular review of overdue debt with BU team

• Ensuring fiduciary obligations are met on a timely basis

1. GST lodgment & ITR support

2. Statutory accounts

3. Statutory audit

4. Set up accounting policies & procedures

• Financial planning & analytics support including,

1. Budgeting and forecasting process, accurate reporting and enhanced sales and product profitability focus

2. Support Commercial Lead, Business Unit Lead, GM and Finance Director with financial expertise to assist in making financially sound decisions for the company

3. Support business review and analyze business performance against key metrics and assist in the understanding of key risks and opportunities

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting or finance
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in NZ FRS & IFRS
• Experience in SAP
• Possess analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to provide technical expertise to support cross functional teams.
• Ability to think beyond numbers and combine data with strategy and financial insight
• Experience within the pharmaceutical or Animal Health industry preferred but not essential
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
