Are you an experienced Clinical Pharmacist looking for a rewarding and dynamic role where you can apply your knowledge to patient safety and facilitate change?

Cornwall Foundation NHS Trust is looking for a clinical pharmacist to take on the role of Medicines Safety Officer and Education Lead.

The role is a permanent full-time post but part-time and flexible hours will be considered for the right candidate. This is a hybrid working position and there is currently no on-call, weekend or bank holiday requirement.

The successful applicant will be the Medication Safety Officer for the trust working with physical and mental health teams, both inpatient and outpatient, to share learning from incidents and implement projects to improve patient safety. As part of this role they will work closely with other healthcare professionals and lead on the review and development of Patient Group Directives (PGDs) for the trust.

Additionally, they will be the Education Lead for the Pharmacy Department and their role will require them to be the Educational supervisor for Training Pharmacists and the senior support for the management of Training Technicians as they rotate through specialties. They will also be required to organise and develop pharmacy educational activities for the trust and lead on training new staff.
